During my internship in Corporate Finance (SaT), I attended a client meeting and worked closely with project teams.

I assume this varies by team and what work is on at that moment. From my perspective, you would either be working on engaged client work or assisting with business development (research / market mapping)

The Assurance interns in our office are allocated onto client projects for most of their internship, and you'll be working alongside client teams which will expose you to client interaction. This is service line dependent, as you'll see in the difference between Ffion and me response.
