I’m alright thanks. Right in the last week of uni. Are we in the same room for the whole session?

Balancing your exams at EY is actually easily done, there is study leave for college where you will have a few weeks to learn and revise the content. Within these weeks there are small tests, the results don't matter too much for these, they just want to see how you are progressing.

That’s amazing! As Christmas is coming, how would you get prepared for the peak season from January? x

I heard that from Jan it would be super busy is that true?

And how you normally managed that?

There will be other exams whilst you are working, however i recommend setting aside around 2 hours a night- or equally split between the morning and evening to review the content. This means your evenings aren't totally consumed by revision

That sounds well planned with strong self-discipline! Thank you

Yeah, January to March is typically very busy, however outside of these months it's not quite as intense. This will be my first busy season so in terms of preparing i am just setting my expectations so i know what the hours will be like

Thanks Mojia for the question. Lucy, I was also wondering if you often study during the weekends in addition to a couple of hours of study per day; and if you recommend beginning to read/study some technical resources prior to joining; so as to be best prepared.
    Thank you!

Hi Anna, how are you? i personally did study on weekends because i didn't do an accountancy degree at university, so i wanted to ensure i was as best prepared as possible. However it is entirely dependent on how familiar you are with the topics. In terms of prior preparation, you don't need to do anything at all, you get sent a lot of the content before the classes begin, so you could have a brief read through, however, they teach you everything thoroughly, so there is no need really

I'm good thanks Lucy! Hope you are too. Thanks for taking the time to answer. I also don't have an accountancy degree, so it's good to know with extra study hours I can catch-up! And great to know I shouldn't start studying in-depth in advance, as I am guilty of over-preparing... Really helpful, thank you!
