Hi Eleanor, I would say definitely research EY as a firm (our values, industry, types of clients we work with) but also make sure you have a strong motivation for the role to talk about. For example, explain why you chose a certain office location and service line

    That's great thank you Rachel!

Hey! Definitely agree with Rachel- try to learn as much as you can about your specific team and what they do. But try and be yourself and natural with your interviewers as it is very evident.

That's great thank you! I have been struggling to find out about the specific team I am applying for a role for, and what kind of things they do, any tips on where to find this information?

Hi Eleanor - we have a specific page for Technology Risk at https://www.ey.com/en_uk/careers/students/programmes/graduates/consulting-graduate-programme-options/technology-risk - you don't need to know specific things about the team, but we'd want you to know why the team is important to you and how technology impacts the world of work we're living in and for our clients

That is great, thank you so much!

Personally, I tried reaching out to people on the team on LinkedIn- this really helped me get a better idea of what they do and why they like it so much :)

Ah that's great advice thank you Arshiya! I did think about that, but wasn't sure if they would mind!

My top tip on reaching out to people on LinkedIn would be to not just send a connection invite. Make sure you include a message and ask them a specific question - they might get a lot of random linkedin requests and you therefore want to stand out

Everyone's usually very helpful, but definitely no harm trying! Yes, that almost always works Lucy!
