How can I best perform in a virtual AC (if I am unable to attend an in-person, as I’m overseas)

I didn't attend a virtual one but I think generally to perform well in an AC, particularly the group activities, it is about listening to the views of others just as much as it is about contributing. You need to show that you can be collaborative and that you can work through issues with other people, as well as coming up with your own ideas and thinking for yourself. Just really try and find that balance.

Hi! I joined the assessment virtually from overseas 2 years ago, and here’s what helped me feel confident and show my best:

    • I do a 10‑minute tech drill the day before (camera at eye level, mic check, hotspot ready) so I can focus on the task, not the setup. This really helps me reduce the nervous!
    • I also open with a 20‑second intro that warm up the conversation between my interviewer and myself.

My core Tip: be yourself, think out loud, and ''promote'' yourself. The tech may wobble; your composure and clarity shouldn’t. You’ve got this!
