Hi Ibrahim. The short answer is VERY. The whole firm is built on a coaching culture - the best way to develop is to ask lots of questions and learn on the job, and you'll be encouraged to ask lots of questions throughout your internship. Many interns have no practical experience in their role, so we've got to support our interns and graduates to help them learn on the job. As a Manager, around 30-60% of my role is supporting my teams through coaching, review and feedback.
Top tips - buy yourself a nice notepad before you join, and when you're being coached make sure to make notes that you can refer back to. This is something that interns and grads often don't do. And then don't be afraid to ask "why you're doing what you're doing" as well as "how to do it".
Would it be considered rude to take notes on a laptop or phone when the chance arises?
I don't think so - I'd just suggest asking the person beforehand so they know what you're doing to avoid misunderstanding. Laptop is better than phone!
Amazing thank you!
Thank you!
