I had spent a year in ITRA but I think I learned a lot of soft skills (and Excel skills) in that year. Similar to other grads joining, I didn't have the actuarial technical knowledge, but I researched what an actuary does and found it extremely interesting. In terms of after joining the team, I found the transition quite smooth. I was after all a new graduate in the team. So I got a lot of support and guidance from the team as I gained more knowledge and experience. I think the soft skills I had picked up in ITRA were very useful too, because I had to work with different teams within EY and with different clients
I have collaborated with Actuarial dept. For my clients so I have the basic idea of their work. It's quite interesting that's why I am l looking forward to it. I believe you and I have difference experience. Considering I was Assistant Manager in Assurance, not a graduate so joining a new dept. could have different requisites. Can you kindly share any hiccups that I might face? I am hoping to join at a experienced role.
Unfortunately I'm not familiar with an experienced hire requisites. I think you could see if there are any openings for an experienced hire position within the team and the prerequisites listed in the opening
I did check the same and didn't find any opening, that's why I was asking directly. anyways thank you for your input
