Hi Abby. I completed the internship back in 2016 so quite a while ago. I was also the only intern in the office (Southampton) back then. It was really interesting - I was working nearly 100% on client engagements with different teams, had the opportunity to stay away in different locations, and got to shadow a Director for the day. At the end they even offered to extend the internship for another couple of weeks, although that's not very common. Best advice from both doing the internship and being a manager who now has interns on my jobs - ask lots of questions, come into the office and speak to people, ask people questions about their careers, and take notes whilst being explained things.
That sounds like a fabulous experience, thank you for the advice. I look forward to starting soon!
