Hi Maryam - the nature of working in assurance & audit involves working with numbers a lot of the time, and so basic numeracy is very important. However, more complicated maths that you may have studied previously is unlikely to be important. For example: a strong understanding of percentages, ratios, and powers is useful, but a detailed understanding of linear algebra is not!
^in addition to this response, I would also respond that being able to interpret numbers & understand the story they tell is more important that understanding complicated equations. For example, if you are able to plot graphs to understand trends then this will help you a long way.
Thank you Alex!
