Hi, I am an international students studying ACCA in the UK. Is previous work experience in foreign country an advantage?

    Any work experience and skills you can demonstrate will help your application, however the application process is mainly skills based so it would be good to focus on your strengths there throughout.

    Thanks for your reply. Also, is completing all ACCA exams before applying for placement roles seen as an advantage?

    There would be no advantage to complete your exams before applying as if you are qualified already, you would need to apply for an experienced hire role as opposed to the apprenticeship/graduate scheme

    Is the hiring process for experienced hires any different from apprenticeship/internships ?

    Yes, you would be required to have experience in audit/accounting and be able to demonstrate your skills in leadership etc. As long as you have qualified already through the ACCA (both exam and time) then you could only be considered for this experienced hire position
