Due to the collaboration and support that EY teams provide, I cannot say that I have yet had an unsuccessful project. However, I have been given a couple of pieces of work, for example drafting a piece of tax advice, that I thought would be completed easily and successfully, which then turned out to be more difficult than expected. One of the things I have learnt is to anticipate things going wrong from the outset, and thus take every step to prevent the unsuccessful scenario occurring. More often than not this is as simple as asking as many questions as possible when presented the work. I have also learnt that creating a network of people you can go to is essential. In short, my advice is to prevent the failure, and feel comfortable asking for help when it arrives.
