Hi, I’m an applicant for a tax graduate role and was wondering if a graduate gets opportunities to work alongside other departments and teams? Also could you tell us about kinds of technology and processes unique to EY? Kind regards Mohammed Sheikh
Hi Mohammed, in short, yes! There are multiple opportunities to work alongside other departments. Personally, I've recently been on a secondment to another service line for 3 months which involved an entirely new team and working on a completely different area of tax than I would normally. Apart from this, there are plenty of opportunities to work with other departments such as audit and other sub service lines of tax depending on the work you are doing for the client.
In terms of technologies, EY have launched their own conversational EY Assistant, EYQ. This allows EY employees to harness large language model capabilities within a secure environment. You can read up further about this on our website: EY.ai | EY - UK
I hope this has been helpful, please reach out again if I can help with anything else. Good luck with your application!
