Hello.
For first level, you are only given one resit attempt
For second and third levels, you get two resit attempts
Is that one resit allowed for all exams at the first level? or one per exam at that level?
For ICAS, you'll go straight into c. 7 weeks of college where you'll study for the first set of exams and then sit them at the end. In terms of second attempts, I think this varies by service line. In UK&I Audit you can get second attempts but will need to have either a 'Pass Strategy' (for close fails) or a 'Capability' (for lower marks) where you'll discuss what went wrong and what you will do differently on the next attempt. There is no guarantee of a second attempt, but generally if you get over a certain mark and go through the 'Pass Strategy' process, you'll generally be given a second attempt.
However you will then only be given the day of the resit exam off - any other time you'll need to take from your own annual leave. It's really important that you aim for first time passes.
Thank you.
