In my experience yes. Some of the work done on projects may be of a similar nature, but you'll be expected to take more responsibility for it, require less assistance from others, and also maybe oversee tasks given to more junior members of staff. In order to get promoted you will have to prove that you are operating at a consistently high level, and that you have a track record of improvement/ developing yourself

Yes, I think you are constantly challenged and you will see yourself grow as time goes on. There is obviously a defined learning and development framework which you follow, but I think the real growth is found in asking for more opportunities and not just following the "standard" pathway. As Mohammad says, seeking out opportunities outside of your role will also allow you to grow and challenge yourself, as you will be balancing various responsibilities. It is also important to constantly ask for feedback so you really understanding areas that can be improved and how you can exceed expectations.

I think sometimes, especially in accounting, you almost find yourself almost peaking in knowledge quite quickly in comparison to the level of responsibility you’re given. It’s good to know that EY always supports you to grow regardless of the stage you reach.
