Hi Myles, you do not get any specific training before joining but as part of the apprentice in TRS, you study towards a professional qualification (either ICAS or ICAEW) which will give you a range of skills to help. Also, as part of the onboarding process, there will be specific training to help you understand the skills needed to perform the job effectively.

There is no need to do anything before hand as your lecturers will teach you all the basics from day 1. I would recommend working on your soft skills before joining, such as Excel, as these are not taught specifically but are important to the day job.
