Hey! I was just interested in understanding how you think about your respective industries, visualize them and go about adding the best new knowledge. Do you read articles, news, look for data etc Thank you :)
Hi William, personally I like to use Financial Times (FT), Spotify and YouTube. Using the FT you can find interesting news in different categories. YouTube can be used to learn about the industry as well as to hear breaking news (and to watch Sky News/BBC News on the go). Spotify has news podcasts you can listen too, which breakdown news stories for you
Hi Vid, what are the areas to focus on when reading about the industry?
Hi Vid. That's great advice thank you. I'll have to get more active on those platforms
Hi Sonya, apologies for the late reply - not sure why I did not get notified!
A good idea would be to focus on things 1) that interest you, 2) that are relevant to your work / role you want to get involved in, and 3) interesting trendy topics that you can discuss in conversation.
Not only will this provide you with something to discuss during interviews, but it will also help you when you go to networking events.
Hope this helps!
