Hi Rianna, EY do not expect any prior experience at all, however some knowledge of the finance sector and the company can be helpful to demonstrate your interest in the programme and can help to set you apart from other candidates. I would suggest that the key attribute to bring to the application process is enthusiasm to learn. Hope this helps :)
Hi Rianna, following on what Ana has said. I utilised my year 12 work experience by working in a finance department which didn't necessarily correlate to audit but it definitely helped in terms of keywords and extra practice on excel which has certainly been useful in my first 6 months at EY. Hope this is useful.
That's a great question! You don’t need any prior work experience for the EY Career Starters programme. When discussing your motivations and skills in an interview or application, just remember to draw examples from your school subjects, extracurricular activities like sports or clubs, and any coursework you've completed. Even if you don’t have relevant work experience, you’ll still have plenty to talk about!
