Hi Eve, I work on the IT side of our external audits and use technology on a daily basis. In particular we have an internally built tool which we use to document and review the audit file. Apart from this it depends on the part of the audit you're working on but across all areas you would be working with Excel almost daily.
We also use tools like PowerBI to present information for clients in a more user friendly format, which they find really beneficial.
Thanks. I want to apply for FSO Assurance. Could I ask how does EY deal with FinTech?
I work within the UKI part of our business, so Luke who works within FSO is happy to help with this question.
Hey Eve - I work in FSO Technology Risk. EY does a lot of work with the majority of British FinTechs (Particularly challenger banks), helping them in all areas, from security implementation, to business expansion, to emergency planning, etc. Its an area where we lead the way in compared to the rest of the big 4. We additionally have spent a lot of time doing further work on Blockchain and other cryptocurrencies, and as an associate you are able to undertake voluntary training on these areas if they interest you :)
Thanks, Rose and Luke.
Hi, Luke. Could I ask is there any FintTech-related service and knowledge on EY website?
HI Eve - much of it is not publicly available as it is commercially sensitive, however we do publish an annual report on the state of FinTech implementation globally - this can be found at https://www.ey.com/en_gl/ey-global-fintech-adoption-index
Hi there, could I add to this if there any RegTech service and knowledge on EY website?
Thank you
Thanks, Luke.
Hi Nestor, I don't think there is a huge amount publicly available on our website - sorry!
Thanks, Luke
