Hi Ines, this is Donald. I applied for a similar role as yours this year (Business Consulting Graduate - Sustainable Finance). I would like to ask, as a new-joining graduate, what is the expectation of the role and what could I contribute to the team? Also, what should I prepare for the EY Experience Day and the final stage? Thank you.
Hi Donald, as a new graduate, you are very much expected to learn on the job and get as varied experience as possible. Most often graduates will be tasked with the project management and admin activities however we also do a lot of desktop research and creation of the slide decks that are presented to clients. Outside of client work, you are also expected to contribute to the team by being part of an operational workstream such as wellbeing, resource management or team weekly meeting amongst others that contribute to the smooth running of the team. Regarding the EY Experience Day, there isn't much you can prepare as that is done with all of the other applicants of graduate schemes however the final interview is more targeted to sustainable finance and will require you to do a small presentation, but you will receive more information on that closer to the date so I would not worry too much for the moment.
