There are people on LinkedIn who are trainee solicitors, but it doesn't seem to be an annual graduate opportunity (or I just missed it!)
Can you please guide me on the process of the assessment centre, how many stages are involved?
Hi Hana, we do have an EY Law department in the UK however we haven't taken on any graduates in this as of yet as far as I'm aware. This may be something we look to do in the future but that's why you won't be able to see anything on the website yet for September 2021 vacancies
Thanks. That's helpful. Is there an alert or mailing list that I can join?
Hi Maryam. Nice to virtually meet you! Our EY Experience Day (assessment centre) involves, in order, a Numerical/Written exercise first thing, followed by Innovate (a group assessment) and Think (an individual exercise). Let me know if you have any further questions on the assessment day or any other part of the process
Unfortunately Hana as it's not a live role we don't have any Register your Interest links for Law roles. I would just advise to keep an eye on the website for any updates and also our social media pages for EY UK Careers which will have updates. Our applications for 2022 roles will open around August/September time of this year.
Excellent - thanks so much
Hi Team,
Thank you for arranging the live chat session. I am currently pursuing MSc in Business Analytics.
I have an industrial placement opportunity that starts from Feb 2022 onwards. Do EY have any openings during that time. If yes when can I start my application?
Hi Rhea, nice to meet you too, are there any live Graduate roles that I can apply for, however, my graduation will take place in November, I am interested in a role in consulting
When does your learning/degree finish Maryam? Are you available to work from September?
Yes I am available from September
Hi Ajo - our industrial placement opportunities always begin in July - you can find out more about this and Register Your Interest to our 2021 opportunities at ey.com/uk/industrialplacement
Fab! Which location(s) are you interested in?
Birmingham
We have a People Advisory Services - Mobility and Reward Graduate Programme available in Birmingham! Here is a link to find out more: https://www.ey.com/en_uk/careers/students/programmes/graduates/tax-graduate-programme-options/pas-mobility-and-reward
It's such an interesting area of the business and a fabulous team! I am in the Birmingham office Maryam
Thank you, Verity. But my placement year starts in Feb 2022.
That's great, I will surely apply for this, any tips on the application process? is the department still live for me to apply?
Apologies then Ajo - timings not match - as you'll need to join in July and spend your entire 3rd year at university on placement with us.
Excellent! Yes, this role is still live and accepting applications but I would apply ASAP as the cut off is the end of this month. My tip for the application process would be to watch this video first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEmBJ0T-teg&feature=youtu.be
And also practice for the online tests! You can practice on assessmentday.co.uk
Also for the numerical test is
there any practice test?
Yep - I read your mind :) it's the link above
Thank you so much!
Hi does the Mobility and Reward Graduate Programme come under the Tax business area
?
Hi Ranvir, yes it does! It sits under Tax but also is very consulting focused.
Hi Rachel, I've originally applied for Tax Technology & Transformation, but I have only completed the first stage, i.e. the application form. Would I be able to change to Mobility and Reward, as this was not available when I applied?
Can I appear for June/July 2022 intake?
Hi Ranvir, if you want to change your service line/office, etc then you have to contact this email address and they will switch you for the programme you want to change to - eystudentrecruitment@uk.ey.com
Okay thanks! Do you know where I can find more information on the Mobility and Reward grad programme?
Thanks!
Here's the link to the website with more info on the programme!
Can you please tell me why you enjoy working at EY?
Hi Maryam, I enjoy working at EY because it's a really welcoming and inclusive place to work. I feel they genuinely care about my development and wellbeing and I have made some really great friends!
Would a lack of relevant work experience put me at a disadvantage in applying? I have experience doing part-time jobs in retail, supermarkets etc but not much when it comes to accountancy or tax
Hi Ranvir, you do not require any relevant work experience to work at EY. We know for our graduate roles that students are coming straight from university. Also you need to think that the part-time work you have will have helped you relevant some relevant skills, eg, time-keeping, responsibility, communication, teamworking etc!
