Could a first year medical student apply for a summer internship - most say they require penultimate year undergraduate students, but the years are quite different for medical undergraduate students.
Hi there, thanks for your question. I'm not sure how this would work for medical students but in terms of eligibility you'll need to be in your penultimate year at university or doing a one-year masters degree or taking a gap year. We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need to be working towards an honour’s degree in any subject, have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent).
As long as you meet the criteria, you should be ok to apply. Good luck!
I hope this helps!
Kind regards,
Jen
