Auditors, what specific systems and programmes do you use often? Is it worth training up these skills before starting?

Hello - I've had 7.5 years in Audit so far. We use a lot of custom-built tools in our day-to-day job so it's difficult to train on these before you start - but you'll receive a lot of training on these and definitely learn as you go. One that I would say is that you'll spend a lot of your time using excel, so brushing up your excel skills will be really valuable. As well as generally upskilling and getting experience in excel, learning functions like XLOOKUP and VLOOKUP will be very helpful. We do also have AI tools that are relatively new in the last couple of years, so that's something to look forward to getting to grips with. Hopefully that helps somewhat.
