Hi Lochlan, it is actually really common for most people joining assurance and audit to come from a non accounting/finance background. My main tip would be to ask as many questions as possible during your engagements to develop an understanding of your accounts. This will enable you to understand how the accounts you are working impact the audit as a whole.
