As a non-finance student, do you have any advice on how to prepare for a Tax AC - specifically practical knowledge?

Hi Alexander, thanks for your message. Even though you don't come from a finance background this definitely does not set you up for any disadvantage during the application process. As our process is strengths based it is more about the personal strengths you bring to the process rather than any pre-requisite knowledge. The Assessment Centre will be split into two - an individual exercise where you'll be able to showcase your own individuals strengths like motivation, and learning agility. Then you'll have the group exercise where you can show other stregnths like collaboration and relationship building.

I would reccomend looking at our Strengths page on the webiste to understand a bit more about what strengths we look for! https://www.ey.com/en_uk/careers/students/strengths
