Also, I am an international student. What are the chances?
Hi Zac, that will depend on what role you are applying to but we welcome applications from different academic backgrounds
I am interested in audit
So
I have an experience in big four firm for 10 months in audit before I moved to the U.K. I am now on my placement in local practice as an interim accountant. I am finding my way back to audit and I am not too sure which route to take.
I am thinking of two routes
First is to apply for graduate role. Second is work toward my qualification and if I am an affiliate, I would apply as an experience hire.
From your perspective, which one is more likely possible?
From the information provided, the graduate route may be a good fit
What can I do to prepare for the application? Also, I am a January intake student and will start post graduate visa on 2025, am I eligible to apply for the programme. If yes, can I apply for Grad Scheme on Sep 2025?
Graduate 2025 roles will be advertised from September 2024 for your reference.
Yes, but can I apply for it? Given I will only have two year visa and will require sponsorship after my visa
I would suggest applying and then we will be in touch soon if your are ineligble
There are multiple different checks that need to happen to ensure you are eligible like location, service line etc so id suggest applying (doesnt take long) and we will be in touch
Is there anything I could do in preparation dor the application?
I would just get the application in first
Then if eligible, before you sit the online tests, do some practice ones
Then get you online tests started as soon as possible
Because I will have some times before the application starts, is there anything I could do to make my application stands out? I.E should I take some ACCA exams or should I participate in University activities?
You will not need to do anything extra from our perspective. I wouldnt suggest sitting more acca exams as we will support you through this
As long as you have prepared as much as you can then this should be fine
I.e practice etc
Online tests, situational judgment and Numerical reasoning
One last question in your opinion as an international student, does it make it more challenging for me to secure a Graduate route at EY
No at all, as long as you can perform well in our application process then you are good to go :)
Alright, thank you so much for your time today. I really appreciate it. So just to confirm, does EY have January intake graduate programme? If not for Sep 2025, the application is likely to start around Sep 2024, correct?
It does sometimes but this changes year on year
So best to just look around that time
Id say august to be 100% safe
No worries at all, happy to help
Thank you so much again Mr. Vaughn!
