Audit requires a variety of different skills and characteristics. I would say some of the most crucial ones include teamworking, communication critical thinking and time management/prioritization.
Hi Harry, thank you for taking the time to answer my question today! Following on from this, what has the experience been for you so far?
The experience for me has been great so far. I have been at the business since September 2022 and I've had exposure to FTSE250 clients, a company with unicorn status. You can really pick the path you choose in terms of the clients you want to work on. Whilst working you also study for a qualification in accountancy so that is something to bare in mind.
That's great to hear indeed! Finally would you have any tips for the application process? Specifically ways to highlight how to be an ideal candidate.
The top tips would probably be:
1) Be prepared - know what audit it, what it involves, the characteristics involved
2) Be yourself - show why you deserve the job, be interesting
3) Ask questions - if you get to interview some of the best ways to show you are the ideal candidate is to ask interesting questions to the interviewer (where is data within audit going to go? How will AI change audit?)
Thank you so much for the answers Harry!
You're welcome, let me know if you have any further questions
Hi Harry,
Good afternoon, hope this message finds you well
I was wondering if I could ask a question regarding the visa regarding the assurance audit graduate programme? As I am currently holding a T2 skilled worker visa with another firm, I was wondering if is possible to apply for graduate scheme (graduate in Sep 2023) with the visa transfer from previous firm?
Many thanks!
