Hi I hope you are well. How can you see yourself after 5 years after finishing the qualification? Thanks
Hi Emily
Hello
I actually did my whole application online as well, so I did the job simulation myself
Oh great
I think one of the best ways to do it is to try and imagine yourself in the role and think how you would actually react to it, rather than trying to focus too much on what you think EY would want, as part of it is to also give you a sense of if you think you would enjoy working at EY
Also don't let it stress you and take your time to answer them
Okay thanks! What sort of things do you
Do daily
And how are you finding doing the ACA exams alongside working? assuming thats what youre doing
Are we going to be timed for the simulation test too?
Day to day at the moment is obviously slightly different to how it will be when we are in the office, but when I'm working on a client we tend to have a meeting in the morning as a group to catch up on how it's going. Then the tasks I do will vary each day but I will have a call with my manager who guides me on what to do, and is there to answer any questions I have throughout the day
I'm doing the ICAS exams, you get 6 weeks of college at the start where you sit the first 4 exams. Then you have 2 more later on, which you get another 2 weeks of self study for. So you are provided with the time to study which is a big help
Hi Emily - the job simulation stage of the application involves a few different exercises - you can find more about this stage on our website at https://www.ey.com/en_uk/careers/students/application-process - we also have application videos which provides hints and tips for this stage on our student page.
Oh that sounds great with the study leave - are ACA exams also an option?
Thank you Verity thats amazing
Hi Emily - All of our Assurance Apprentices and Graduates study towards the ACA (Chartered Accountancy) qualified!!
Brilliant thanks
Verity where can I find the application videos? and are there any practise questions?
Hi Emily - sure thing the application videos are on our YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/user/EYUKCareers/videos
Hello, have a nice day)) I would like to learn how to become best prepared for applied to EY in the field of Assurance?
I think it's best to make sure you've researched EY and assurance so you have a good idea what it entails, and so you know if it is the right fit for you. They don't expect you to be an expert on it as we are starting from scratch, but they want people who are passionate about it, so make sure you can show that you are :)
All right, thank you mrs.Bethan M. I'm really passionate to work at EY for Assurance. May I learn the stages for application?
That's great - being passionate and fitting into EY's values is one of the biggest advantages you can have! I personally did my whole application process online - the first stage is the initial standard questions and psychometric tests. Then there is a job simulation after. If you pass all of these then you have a virtual assessment day - which isn't at all as scary as it may sound! Then if you are successful in all the stages you have a final partner interview
Thank you so much) May other country origins apply to visa needed countries?
Hi Jamila - what specifically do you mean?
I'm from Azerbaijan and if I want to work in Europe I need employee right for working?
Yes correct - you'd need right to work. Please check out our information on right to work at ey.com/uk/faqs and also the government website here https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/uk-visas-and-immigration
