Application as a medical student

Medical terms run differently in terms of placements and holidays. My graduation date is 2026 but my third year summer holiday next summer is much longer than my fourth year summer holiday because of my placements. Is there any possibility I could apply for the Climate Change and Sustainability Services Summer Internship for this year rather than next due to this? I’m really passionate about exploring this avenue and would hate if my placement dates limited me from this!

Hi Sasha, to be eligible for the summer internship you need to be in your penultimate year as it converts to the graduate programme for the next year. This could be before a final year of study / Masters or a gap year

Hi Rebecca, would it then be possible for me to take a gap year after my degree to do the internship and be eligible to apply?

Hi Sasha, yes you can do the internship and then take a gap year.

And is applying as a medical student okay provided I’ve done sufficient work experience and have a good knowledge of what the programme consists of?

Hi Sasha, you are able to apply given your background. We operate an open access policy, meaning anyone can apply from any discipline, you just need to clearly communicate your motivations for wanting to join EY and your chosen service line :)
