Need I talk more technical things when being asked about the technical related topic?
Hi Wenzhou - for the video interview it's really important to showcase your motivations for applying to the role, the service line, and the location you've applied for. Please also have key strengths with examples ready so that you can talk about them when responding to the questions. It's a strengths assessment on the video stage so make sure you practice things you're really proud of and your key achievements. From a technical perspective we don't need you to explain any technical language but commercial awareness is really important. We look for students to have an understanding of the key technologies that are used day to day including: Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Data and Analytics, Robotic Process Automation, Chat bots - these are some of the key things we would ask about.
By commercial awareness, you mean how these different technologies could be used in different industries?
Hi Verity, what do you mean by Data and Analytics? Is this just in general or are there specific technologies we need to know about?
Hi, is knowledge of key technologies general or will more in depth knowledge be needed? I am asking in regards to the degree apprenticeship role
With commercial awareness, we just mean industry knowledge and understanding - so being aware of current affairs and the climate within the industry, and of course the way companies are now using different technologies to better their services.
Hi Philippa - you do not need to have detailed knowledge of data and analytics, but understanding what it is and what it does. It's more general and how companies would use it.
Hi, are numerical reasoning tests only limited to the 'learning for a changing world' (step 3) of the application process or should we practice NRTs before every part of the recruitment process?
Hi Juned - you won't need to have detailed knowledge but understanding what each technology does is important. It's more general about how business use them if they come up in a case study you'd be aware of the technology used.
Thank you!
Thank you
Hi Eirini - your numerical reasoning test only appears at the Learning for a changing world stage. There is an element of numerical throughout the process regarding numbers and looking at data, so please be mindful that there will be elements of numerical throughout, including the EY Experience Day.
Many thanks Verity!
Thank you!
